Biography
I am a research analyst and consultant with experience in economic development, workforce analysis, municipal policy, regional benchmarking, and business ecosystems. My work combines quantitative analysis, qualitative research, and client-ready communication to help public-sector teams understand complex questions and act on the evidence. I also explore how AI can strengthen research workflows, evidence use, and analytical communication.
Experience
Opus Group
Conducted labour-market, sector, and economic development research across multiple Ontario regions. Used SAS, Excel, and Python to extract, standardize, and analyze more than 160,000 records from labour-market, occupational, policy, and third-party sources.
Built a sector assessment framework and an n8n monitoring workflow, then translated the evidence into rankings, caution flags, workbooks, dashboards, methodology notes, briefing materials, and client recommendations.
City of Mississauga, Vision Zero Program
Combined municipal policy research and jurisdictional benchmarking with Excel, Python, and QGIS analysis of collision, demographic, transportation, geographic, and community data to identify high-risk locations and priority audiences.
Worked with municipal staff to turn research and stakeholder input into maps, communication materials, KPI options, evaluation frameworks, presentations, and practical recommendations for a Vision Zero outreach strategy.
City of Mississauga, Economic Development Office, IDEA Mississauga
Used Excel and Python to clean and analyze firm, sector, startup, business-registry, and investment data. Combined the analysis with stakeholder interviews and jurisdictional research to assess Mississauga's entrepreneurship ecosystem and identify service gaps and strategic opportunities.
Supported client intake, stakeholder coordination, interview scheduling, and communication follow-up across municipal and business-support partners. Developed reports, briefing decks, KPI options, and recommendations with municipal and business-support teams. Presented the research at the 2024 CCSBE Conference; its themes later aligned with priorities in a subsequent City economic development strategy.
Chengdu Wuxingmuyi Design Consultant Co., Ltd.
Researched agricultural land-use policy, planning regulations, zoning, and rural-development priorities, and supported field research and interviews with officials, residents, and clients.
Contributed stakeholder and needs analysis to planning rationale reports, land-use strategies, briefings, and presentations while supporting consultations, meeting records, milestones, document preparation, and version control.
